Watkins Yacht Management has entered into a joint marketing venture with Air Harrods to provide aviation and concierge support, both helicopter and fixed wing, to the superyacht industry. Transfers to yachts will now start at the owner, charterer or guest’s own front door. A key feature for the new venture will be the seamless incorporation of limousines, flights and helicopter transfers to and from yachts, all of which will be supported by experienced staff.
By combing their respective market strengths Air Harrods and Watkins Yacht Management are confident that they can help ensure that a superyacht voyage begins and ends with service and style. Both companies are London based, and have a history of offering luxury services, which naturally depend on privacy, safety and service. Adrian McCourt of Watkins Yacht Management said, "We have worked with Air Harrods staff for over 15 years and are delighted to formalise this relationship and extend our services to the large yacht industry. Their attitude to safety is without parallel and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to our valued clients."
Watkins Yacht Management originally provided discrete support to high-profile owners and charterers for seven years before launching as an independent superyacht specialist in 2006. In addition to a range of management options, they can source yachts for charter, assist new owners, provide brokerage for sale and purchase or a discrete acquisition service with access to a number of high profile owners. Air Harrods operates under Air Operators Certificate 2049 which is a requirement of the UK Civil Aviation Authority for operators of public transport/charter flights. This means the CAA have certified Air Harrods as 'competent to secure the safe operation of aircraft'.
