While connecting with the ocean environment is always a consideration, many yacht designs continue to focus on the interior spaces. Dunya Yachts with their latest project, the 88-metre Blade, have done the opposite, working with Ken Freivokh Design to create a concept that blurs the boundaries between outdoor and indoor space and providing a tangible link to the ocean.  According to Dunya Yachts and Ken Freivokh Design, retaining a bold aesthetic that challenged the more conventional 85 to 95-metre yachts was one of their main considerations. Blade’s technical specifications include a propulsion package from Caterpillar, providing excellent speed and range that will be further enhanced by the extended waterline length due to the plumb bow. With a top speed of 19 knots and a cruising speed of 17 knots, Blade will inevitably cut through the water as cleanly as her name suggests...
